At F&L Market, we are best know for our great selection and top-quality cuts of meat. Our meat dept. specialists have over 125 years of experience and will help you make the right choice for your party, cookout or special occasion. Being Lynchburg's only full service, independent grocery supermarket, we can cut our meat fresh on location and the hamburger is ground fresh each day for the best mouth-watering flavor.

Our produce dept. has the freshest produce of any store in Lynchburg and when posssible, we buy it locally.

We are a full service grocery with a full Dairy, a Frozen Food section, Bakery and a full range of Health & Beauty aids. We also carry a " dollar store section " for your convenience and savings!

We support many local fundraising activities in and around Lynchburg. We believe in helping our local community whenever the need arises - just let us know if there is anything we can do to help your local group with it's needs.

Company History





F&L Market was started in 1993 under the name Food Land. Our first location was based out of the old Harris Teeter store in Pittman Plaza where we stayed for nine years. We then relocated the store to our current location at 2517 Memorial Ave. In early 2012, we changed our name from Food Land to F&L Market.

We are currently owned by a small group of investors, some of who play a major part in the day to day operations of the store. We are the last, truly full-service independent grocery store in Lynchburg, Virginia



Services





From custom orders for family reunions, church gatherings, catering orders and large tailgating parties, we have you covered. Seasonal and Holiday orders are simple with us as well. Hams, Turkeys, Oysters and local vendor offerings makes F&L Market the place to call for that special touch.

From custom cut meat right in our store to locally grown and sourced produce and products from Virginia, we can help you with your grocery needs, no matter what they are. We also get seasonal items in like Halifax cantaloupes, local honey and jams, pies and oysters from the Chesapeake Bay. You ask us, we can find it!
